Is it recommended to simply flash the firmware via the web interface and reboot the router? I would like to avoid an NVRAM reset if possible. Thanks!

    Router: NT-16
    Current firmware: tomato-K26USB-1.28.7501MIPSR2Toastman-RT-Ext.trx
    New version to update: tomato-K26USB-1.28.7501.2MIPSR2Toastman-RT-Ext.trx

You should be able to upgrade between those two versions without having to completely nuke your NVRAM. The changes between those versions are minor enough that they don't warrant an NVRAM clear. But please do not get in the habit of assuming that.

Read the changelog!! It's in the main directory of Toastman's 4shared stuff. :)

Thanks for the advice. Flash seemed to work. See this thread for details. At least bad things didn't happen!
