I have a WRT54G v1.0 which died the other day.
(it failed during use not during flashing, and now the leds don't even light. I think it is well and truly dead.)

What I want to know is, can I take out the Mini PCI card and use it in a laptop which has a slot for a Mini PCI wireless card?

Does anyone know the the card type and whether there are any windows drivers for it?

    thanks,

    Luke

There was an article in Tomshardware.com (~1.5-2 years ago) describing use of this card in a laptop, including drivers to use. It does require a laptop with installed antenna. The card does not have one.
