    I am still not giving up on this hardware and still looking to find ways on how I can put it to good use. I am now looking for the redboot image to try and run openwrt on this antique equipment.

    What is the best mini-PCi card that will fit and run openwrt on this piece of work. (Gemtek GTWX5715 aka Linksys WRV54G)

    Is AR5413 "EMP-8602+S" a+g high power card suitable and worth my money?

    So far the information I have is this;

    Thanks a lot,

    I was able to successfuly flash my WRV54G with a ReedBoot. I did not recorded the link origin, but the file was named rb-wrv54g-ROM.bin. I have no need for the wireless function, so I was not concerned about a proper wireless support.

    So, that's it. I have a WRV54G with an operational RedBoot, but I did not flash it with any usefull image yet. I have no experience with, source recompilation, which seems to be needed here.

    Found the link: http://mysite.verizon.net/jvasco/openwrt/rb-wrv54g-ROM.bin

    Interesting. What type of functionality did you achieve after doing this?

    As a matter of fact, I bricked the router. Since I do not have any usable firmware image to flash it with, it is as good as useless, now.

    The whole redboot experiment was a part of playing with OpenRG boot loader. Thanks to this experience I was able to save two damaged RV042. So, I'm not particulary unhappy.

    I think I may have a beta that was the most stable firmware never released for that platform if you are interested...

    If you are referring to the Linksys OpenRG image, I'm no longer able to use it. The redboot is not compatible with OpenRG and I'm unable to flash the OpenRG boot loader back. The flashing of the redboot is a one way ticket, at least for me.

    Okay... I was acfually referring to a beta firmware, but if it wad "bricked," then it's "mission impossible..."

    Hi, I would be interested in the last stable version, 2.39.2e I believe, or any betas available. I have inherited a WRV54G and would appreciate any help. Thanks.
