Is there some trick to getting remote access to work on Tomato Shibby? I've used victek and the original tomato to do the same thing for many years but I just got an ASUS rt-n66u and wanted to run Shibby AIO on it (the version released on Oct. 22).

I'm using DDNS to get to the router and as long as i'm on my home network I can connect to it without problems going to However, once I leave my home network and try to connect I get nothing.

Do I have to forward port 8080 back to my router? Is this happening because I've changed the IP address of my router to

I've found a way to work around this issue for now by simply setting up VNC and forwarding the ports to one of my computers on my home network. Using my DDNS address, I can VNC into the computer and then use it to access the config screens but obviously this is less than ideal. Any help would be appreciated.

Apparently making a post here was all it took to fix out the problem. Don't know why; don't know how but everything is working just fine now. Someone can safely delete me if desired.

Since this post always came up as the first result during the last several days I'd been trying to solve this problem, I figured it'd be worthwhile to note my specific solution here.

If you have DMZ enabled on Shibby firmware, remote access does not work. Disabling DMZ allows you to use remote access again.

A bug report was filed regarding this, but it sounds like it may not be changed/fixed, based on the feedback.
