I have two linksys WAP4400N access points in my LAN and am wondering how to access them remotely..... they both are set up with different IP's and web admin turned on but I can't reach them remotely...... Im guessing that you search in a web browser http://WAN IP:8080/LAN access point IP....
is this correct/what am I missing?

It will depend on how you set it up and how you are accessing it. You stipulate remote i.e. wan, but you suggest you are connecting via the lan. But again it will be accessible however you set it up to be.
