I'm having the same problems with remote management with DD-WRT 22 prefinal 4.

I've enabled remote management, use https on port 8123 and enabled the "info on start" page.

But somehow i cant get any webpage on my router from any other location. I tried http and https on ports 80, 443, 8080 and 8123, nothing works.

Sometimes probing responds that the ports itself are open, but the router doesn't serve the webpages.

    Anybody got an idea?

I too have enabled remote management and it did not work. Left it port 8080 and created firewall rules, but no luck.

you can always install a firewall behind the WRT. but if you enable the firewall protection its impossible to access the WRT, except from the lan side

Wouldn't a proper entry in the FORWARD chain allow Remote Management to be accessible from the outside without having to disable the firewall? Just making sure that the outside interface gets forwarded to the router's internal interface.

The required rule could be based off the rules created to allow the PPTPD to be reachable from the outside.
