Remote Users Windows Share?

I have QuickVPN connecting fine now, but am still unable to get windows shares to show up correctly. I am trying to go through some of the troubleshooting steps posted here and a couple of you said to make sure 'allow remote access' is checked ON in the share permissions in the windows sharing and security tab. Where is this exactly? I cannot find any such thing; I am running Windows XP Pro on the remote machine that I am trying to access. I thought I have all the permissions setup correctly, but am obviously missing something. That machine will not show up from the clients connection, even if trying by IP (//10.xx.xx.xx)

    Thanks in advance...

Maybe this is your problem. Try \\10.x.x.x\ instead of //10.x.x.x

The only "'allow remote access" checkmark I know of is XP Pro in the system properties to allow RDP sessions. Maybe something you read got crossed. Can you post the article?
