repeater option

    i have 3 access points and i want to extand my wireless connection.
    i have configured 1 access point as AP mode.and 2 Access points in Repeater mode.but its not working.can i make 2 access points as a repeater mode.

    I am doing this right now! So, firstly: what versions of the routers do you have: WRT54G or WRT54GS?

    Secondly: What versions of the hardware inside the routers do you have? All of the information you need to find that out is on this site; the serial number tells you this. Here is the link:


    Thirdly: what firmware are you using? The compatibility list for firmware upgrades and hardware versions is listed here:


    The only thing to add to that last page is that Sveasoft Alchemy is in public release v1.0.

    Fourthly: What is your configuration? Are your two repeaters taking a signal from your AP on a string out to a client? Or are they going in two different directions?

    Fifthly: Here is the guide from this website that I used to get my WDS up and running. Note: in the first graphic, the third octet of the Repeater's Gateway IP address is a typo - it should be 10 instead of 30.

    Sixthly: Come back with questions if you still have them!
