Recent DD-WRT convert here :) Looking to repeat a wireless signal to a wireless virtual network (guest network) with a different subnet. I played around quite a bit with Wireless Client mode and bridging w.01 to eth.1, but am having some difficulties getting it to work. Thoughts?

Use a VLAN build of Tomato, create two VLANs and two wireless SSIDs, and bridge one SSID to one VLAN, and the other to the other. This question has been asked many times on here - search around for directions.

    Hello Dave,

Thank you for the quick reply. I have browsed through the stickies and about 20 other posts regarding vlans and multiple SSID's, but none seem to fit my description. This particular router is acting as a repeater broadcasting an alternate SSID. Would I create a vlan as a 'Wireless Client' to connect to the existing wireless and then bridge an additional 'Access Point' vlan to the 'Wireless Client' in order to pass the connection through? I'm assuming the router's LAN would have to have a different ip address than that of both VLANs? I only ask for clarification because when I disconnect to change these settings I am without internet access and keep these directions up my browser.

    Thank you!
