I really need help on this so I'm reposting... thanks to anyone who can advise me.

    WRT54G v1.1 wireless router

Is there any way to see both...

... DHCP users AND fixed IP users on our router?

Clicking on Status | Local Network | DHCP client list

    only shows DHCP users.

How do we see fixed IP users?

    Thanks for any help.

I don't know if what you want is possible with the Linksys firmware but HyperWRT Thibor15c, for example, has a Device List link under the Status tab that shows connected devices with manually assigned IP addresses. It is limited to active devices though. If a device with a static IP address hasn't produced any network activity in the last 5 minutes, it doesn't appear in the list.

The connected devices are recorded by IP vs MAC address in the arp table

Hyperwrt Thibor doesn't seem to have the "arp" command but the table can be viewed from Telnet or "run command" with

    cat /proc/net/arp

[and if you look at the web screen source that's where the device list info comes from!]
