Restricting WLAN access via VPN

    Hi!

One of the wireless clients (a Palm Tungsten E2) in my network doesn't support WPA. As WEP (even with MAC filter, etc.) doesn't provide enough security I am looking for another way of restricting access to my WLAN and protecting the transmitted data. As all clients support VPN (IPSec and PPTP) I would like to use a router that runs as a VPN server and allows only those wireless clients to access the network who log in via VPN.

Is there a firmware for WRT54GS which supports this feature? I have been searching the forum for similiar topics but as I don't have such a router yet most discussions are quite confusing.

    Thank you in advance!

    Greetings,
    Matt
