    Hello All:

I have a RV016 running 2.0.18 firmware in router mode. I'm trying to get the router to advertise RIPv2 on the WAN ports with no luck. I have been capturing packets with Wireshark and I can see that it is advertisting RIPv2 on the LAN side, but not the WAN.

Has anyone been able to get RIPv2 to advertise on the WAN?

I assume you really do want RIP on the WAN side (internal router)..
I can't confirm it on the 016 but the 082 for sure advertises on the WAN. There really should be a setting for what interface(s) to broadcast RIP, I'd hate to RIP my subnets to the internet..

Yes...I really want it on the wan, and it definately is not going... I agree with you...the RIP settings should be by interface. What I would really prefer is OSPF. RIP is so old and chatty.
