I've got a WRTSL54GS using the default (linksys) firmware. Its LAN IP is When I visit in a browser, I get "404 Not Found"--no HTTP Auth login prompt. I've rebooted the router but that doesn't change anything. The router *is* routing wireless packets just fine, but I've got no apparent way to configure it anymore.

I really don't want to use the hard reset because the configuration is funky. It took my a long time to get it right, and I don't have it backed up anywhere.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for any advice,

edit: Could this at all be related to this WRT54G issue? Does the WRTSL54GS use the same firmware as the WRT54G V5?

Are you sure it's lan IP is that? DId you check yoru default gateway? did you check your ARP table ot make sure that the linksys device is actually assigning you the IP? How funky could your config be, theres really not that much to setup in there that you couldn't re-do in 10 minutes...

I realized I had turned off HTTP access to the web admin interface and enabled only HTTPS. If you try to access the interface via HTTP, you get a 404 error.
