I've run into an interesting problem with our WRT54G at work. I can connect to the Internet and LAN through the WRT54G, but I cannot ping the router or access the web interface (it tells me "connection refused" when I try). I can't tell which firmware it is using, since I can't access the router ATM (resetting it isn't really an option right now, either, since it's the middle of the day). I believe the router is Version 2. Is this a known bug? (I know it's still using the stock firmware). This has happened before. And I'll come into work the next day and everything is fine.
