Router Lags Spikes

I've just flashed my firmware to DD-WRT on a WRT54G V6 a few hours ago. Just now, I've been receiving weird lag spikes. The router's control panel stops responding and the internet connection goes in and out. Anybody know why this might be happening? I had to reboot the router for it to function correctly again.

By the way, this is on V23 SP2 Micro
    Thanks

I tried disabling a lot of unneccary options to try and fix it. I'll let you know if it works. Do you also have a v5/6?

is this happening while connected to wireless or directly with a cable? can you confirm this happens on both?

It was happening when it was connected to a wireless.

After I disabled some unnecessary features, it seels to have been up the whole day without trouble. I hope this continues.

Oh, and I think it was because of the maximum TCP connections. I have put it at the maximum and still more than 1500.

*UPDATE* Actually since now that I ran 2 BT torrents at incredible speeds, the 4096 limit was reached. Is there anyway to enable more or is that already too much? Anyway I can run BT without having this issue?
