router passwords

    a guy installed a wireless router WRT54G onto my pc so i can have net in my room. he took the password and i cant contact him fro personal reasons but think he may be using it to get access into my pc. is there anyway i can change this password without the old one and without losing any of the sttings ?

    No. You can only reset the router to it's default settings, which will restore the original password (admin) but also delete all other custom settings.

    ok found it out if i type in 192.168.1.1 and use username admin and password is my last name i can get in. how do i change this password so he doesnt no anymore?

    you can change the password by going to the administration tab and the first option should say somthing like "router password"
