I will be involved in adding some broadband capabilities into my church
building. One thing I want to do is filter URL's based on a few that I want
to allow. We are also on a fairly tight budget.

Many routers look like they can only filter based
on specifying URLs to block, not specifying URLs to allow.

Is that capability available in any routers, or any of the custom firmwares?

you can block all but specific IPs with iptables on any of the custom firmwares that will run on your router, thats about the only way around it Every home router i've seen (linksys, netgear, dlink, etc) routers use blacklisting and don't support whitelisting.

Sorry for giving rebirth to this one.
But now, does anyone have an answer to this question?

Also, how'd noobs like me be able to use iptables for this purpose?
