I have a WRT54GL with Tomato as my main internet gateway and I have added another 54GL with tomato to act as a firewall/gateway ( WAN - , LAN - ) to another LAN network (192.168.222.x ).

I added a static route on the main gateway ( )

    metric 0
    interface LAN

no ping reply , and a tracert shows it going to the main gateway before being lost on the internet.

I also added to the secondary gateway the scripts

    sleep 5
ip addr add dev vlan1 brd +
    /usr/sbin/iptables -I POSTROUTING -t nat -o vlan1 -d -j MASQUERADE
anys tips or ideas will be appreciated :)

I backed uo the config , flushed the NVRAM and reloaded the config and it seems to be ok.

routing after port forwarding from the internet does not seem to work

inside my 10.168.222.x LAN I have no problems connecting to the 192.168.222.x LAN and it all works fine.

from the internet I port forward to the 192.168.222.x LAN and it does not work. From the internet router I can ping and tracert to the 192.168.222.x LAN no problems.

any ideas as to why a packet that is port forwarded cannot be routed the same as packets when on the internal 10.168.222.x LAN ?
