RT-AC66U Shibby Channel Issue

I noticed tonight that my RT-AC66U running the latest Shibby (Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-116 K26AC USB AIO-64K) is having trouble with wireless channels. I select to run on Channel 11 however I noticed that I actually end up on channel 1.

If you go to the Overview page it actually says it's running on Channel 1 however if you go to the Basic -> Network tab it shows channel 11. Kind of annoying for me, I've always had trouble with channel 1... Due to a baby monitor I suspect.

Has anyone not noticed this before? No matter what with an RT-AC66U you are on channel 1. It must be a bug with the Broadcom driver or something:

    Code:
    root@router:/tmp/home/root# wl -i eth1 channel
    No scan in progress.
    current mac channel 1
    target channel 1
    root@router:/tmp/home/root# wl -i eth1 channel 6
    root@router:/tmp/home/root# wl -i eth1 channel
    No scan in progress.
    current mac channel 1
    target channel 1

i have no problem keeping my RT-AC66U on channel 6. i am running same FW as you. make sure your area is set to US

Yah, I'm definitely set to US. Under Basic Network it says I am on channel 11 but if I go to the very top Status link, it shows I am on channel 1. From the CLI it also says I am on channel 1. I tried clearing the NVRAM again just for kicks and it's still stuck on channel 1. I wouldn't have even noticed if I didn't use Wifi Analyzer on Android and it said I was on channel 1 which confused me. Does it show channel 1 under the Status page for anyone else or is it just me!?!?

Well, I guess it's just me... I played with it some more and picked UK instead of the US and set it to channel 13. Then it said it was actually running on channel 6. So then I changed it to N-Only like Conner above and that seemed to snap it out of it. It then would run on the channel I asked for. I switched it back to G Only and it seemed to stick to the channel I asked for. I have no idea.. Maybe my router is flakey. (Although it works fine other than the channel madness)

Thx for that tip! Switching to N-only made also the trick for me. My RT-N18U sticked to channel 1 with Shibby's and Toastman's build.

    Regards
