I am also interested in possibly using your firmware. I am curious though as to how that would affect the router's 802.11AC capabilities. Do you have any idea if your version will work with the AC draft standard? Will it basically make any router that uses it a N-900? Thanks for your work!

Just curious, but what's the nature of the problems with the WL GUI?
And does this mean it's possible to configure the WL properly by CLI instead?

Just got one of these and am crushed that tomato shibby doesn't work on it :(
Doesn't brick but doesn't work either. I have JTAG adapter and serial adapter, so if anyone wants test debugging/flashing done (I'm looking at you shibby! :) ) then let me know. Really want to get this beast of a router going with tomato shibby so I can get all my optware + network boot stuff going!

Doesn't the stock firmware support optware? If not, then RMerlin's builds do. If there isn't anything tomato specific, you can probably address anything your doing with optware without waiting for shibby.

Correct. The original Asusware also supports optware (that's how Download Master is designed itself - as an Optware package), it's not as optimal however since you can't easily add new start scripts.
