it seems that i have bricked my rt-n16 router. i've never used jtag before so if someone could list the jtag items (cables etc)i should buy so that i can get them all at once. recommendations would be great. :smile:
Are you really sure you need this - the RT-N16 has a robust CFE with Asus FW recovery mode. The JTAG pinouts are shown here http://www.darkhaven.org/mediawiki/index.php/Asus_RT-N16 and http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/JTAG_pinouts#Asus_RT-N16 but the RT-N16 has a serial flash that is not yet supported by popular tools such as TJTAG, which has a recommended hardware purchase:- http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=64013 If you really need JTAG I'm sure its only a matter of time before dd-wrt Tornado cracks it!
Or maybe try with a serial cable attached to see whats going on? and maybe you can recover it that way.
