Is there any way to configure the RT-N16 to permit only G and N client connections? I want to replace one of my WRT54GL slaves with a new RT-N16, while leaving the other slaves unaffected for the time being. As a first step, I changed the wireless network mode on the main RT-N16 from 'G only' to 'Auto', but when all the WDS slaves reconnected performance was horrible. Main overview page showed rate = 5.5 Mbps, and it never budged from that value. TX rate for the slaves never went over 6. I'm thinking that maybe a rogue B device was dragging everything down. I reverted to 'G Only' and all was good again, but that doesn't help the long-term goal. The DD-WRT wiki lists 'NG-mixed' as a valid setting, so even though it's not a Toastman GUI option I'm wondering if there's a way to accomplish this with Toastman builds, by tweaking a combination of nvram settings e.g. wl0_gmode, wl0_nmode, wl0_net_mode etc. Has anyone tried this? See my sig for current firmware versions.
