RT-N16 switch ports 2-4 and WAN dead

Anybody ever seen only port 1 working on the RT-N16? We did have a bit of a storm over night.

Wireless still works and tried re flashing tomato to it and thorough nvram erase. No change. The light will not light up on the ports.

Is it worth anything to someone? I guess it could be for just an AP or bridge if indeed port 1 does work.

Anything else you can think to try?

Sounds like voltage fluctuation (or worse if you experienced brown-outs or repeated short-duration black-outs) may have damaged parts of the Ethernet switch on the router's PCB.

I would recommend replacing the unit with a new one.

Also, why wasn't the router on a decent UPS (not surge protector, but actual UPS)? :(

It was on a UPS. Something still got it though. 2 months out of warranty. All my other wired equipment is fine though. Cable modem, 16 port switch, other AP, etc..

If you still have some ports, which according to reading here you do have 1 and 3 you could always use VLANs to move one of the ports out of lan and into wan, basically making it a WAN port, and then use a switch on the remaining port and viola, should be good to go.

No 2 through 4 are gone including WAN. The one attached to the cpu could be gone as well but I don't know. I didn't try pinging the router from the lit up port.

It could be just useless and only wifi works.

oh i see now, it could be kept for just being a WAP or WDS/repeater/client now. But otherwise as koitsu suggested, i would just look into getting a new unit.
