    so i flashed RAF 1.3g to my brand new refurbished RT-N53 today. ($56 shipped)

    im noticing that wired the response times to the router are <1ms

    wireless it was 3-10ms. even on 5GHz.

    intel 7260 on 2.4GHz RT-AC66U and on DIR-655 = 1-2ms average:

    intel 7260 on 2.4GHz RT-N53:

    i get almost identical results on 5GHz but slightly quicker then the 2.4GHz on the RT-AC66U

    this WAS also happening with asus firmware. so i dont believe its a bug, but im curious if there is a way to fix it?

    Plug it in if you need that 5ms gain.

    also another question, possible to overclock this? how safe would it be to go up just a bit
