RV042 1.3.6 Problems

    Folks,

I've learned a ton here, and I want to express my thanks to all who have posted. I'm still having problems with an RV042 running 1.3.6 Beta code (from this board), and I'll share them in the hopes someone can help or benefit.

I'm running in DMZ mode. There are two servers in the DMZ. When I set the DMZ to subnet mode, the NAT ports can see the servers, but the servers can't get to the Internet. When I set the DMZ to "range", the servers can get to the Internet, but the NAT ports can't see the servers. Nice, eh? What's frustrating is that I did have this working once. I've even restored to factory defaults and started over.

Right now, I'm questioning why I even need this thing as a DMZ, since one of the servers is fairly well protected by ZoneAlarm, and the other is a hardened Linux comm box (Clarkconnect).

If anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate it. If it rains this weekend, I'll expend a bit more time on it, otherwise, I'll send it back next week.

    Thanks!

    Mike

Here's a thought: Is there a way you can modify the DNS table? This is the first thought that comes to my mind being that you can switch from subnet (specific) and range (non exclusive) and retain the same problem (can't see any visible paths).

By no means will I claim expert status but apparently this may be a good starting point.
