    Hi,

Only just got this router so i'm not sure if it's a mistake on my side but i can't get port triggering to work :( It used to work with utorrent on my WRT54G, i entered the fields exactly the same:
    Application Name: BitTorrent
Trigger Port Range: 6881 to 6889
Incoming Port Range: 6881 to 6889

I start utorrent and nothing happens, port 6881 stays closed and firewall shows blocked packets to that port, this used to work fine on my WRT54G. I already reset to reset to factory defaults but that didn't work either. Simple port forwarding and UPnP does work. Can any rv042 owners help me out plz?

I know this sounds stupid but did you enable it? Where did you forward the ports to? Is the forwarding IP Address a Static IP or is it DHCP? Also check your firewall

Even more stupid: how do i enable it?
    This is all i entered:

    And i clicked save settings.
The firewall is not the issue, if utorrent sends a packet to port 6881, the port should be forwarded to that client but this doesn't happen. The System Log is full with blocked packets to 6881.

In port range forwarding is it possible to select the service "BitTorrent" that you just created? If it is than you could just enter the IP address of that computer and check the enable box.

Yeah Port Forwarding works but i need Port Triggering so that it automatically opens the port if a client uses BitTorrent. I need somebody to verify that Port Triggering is working on the RV042.

So if I understand correctly you just want all ports for BitTorren to be open for all the clients within your network?

Yea but i also want them to close automatically when BT is closed, hence triggering and not forwarding.
