I was previously using the WRT54G with custom firmware and some IP tables scripting to enable me to access the IP of my ADSL modem. The ADSL modem acts as a pure bridge and I set the IP on a different subnet. This is the firewall script i used on my WRT54G

    iptables -I POSTROUTING -t nat -o vlan1 -d -j MASQUERADE
ip addr add dev vlan1 brd +

I have since then used a RV042 as my gateway (not the WRT54G anymore) and since then lose the connection to the modem for configuration purpose.

Is there something I can do on the RV042 to mimic my WRT54G?
