Afaik some of the "smaller" linksys routere (bef's/wrt's..) do not support anything larger than a class c subnet.

Is it the same for RV042? I mean, it is for business' - at least thats what they say :)

If you use a 3rd-party firmware supported router it will support just about any subnet you need.

There is a possible way to do it with the standard RV0xx firmware though.
Add the /16 (old class B) network using the "multiple subnet feature". I just checked and it can use ANY network mask (in this case

I never used it, but I do not see why it would not work, unless some of the features on the router will only work with the main "network", but I doubt that Linksys would include the feature and have any serious limitation. It's worth a try.

    Hope this helps.

As for the "alternate" firmware, I guess nobody was ever able to come up with any for these routers.... too bad.
