    ***NOTE***
I'm afraid I made a mistake. The model is RV042. That explains why it was such a pain to find documentation ;) The problem persists anyway.
    ***End of NOTE***

If i enter http://192.168.1.1 I have access to a menu but nothing is shown when I follow the menu links.

    Thank you

I can think of just two possible explanations.
    1) The device is damaged
    2) The main router page comes from the browser buffer, whlile the router does not respond from 192.168.1.1

In the newest firmware revisions Cisco forced HTTPS access to the router WEB interface.
    - RV082 v1 it is possible to switch off HTTPS, then the router works exactly the same as it was with the older firmware revisions.
    - RV042 v1 have some issues with this firmware.
    - RV042 v3 the problem is quite complicated. Switching off HTTPS seems to be working, but router WEB interface is not accessible through HTTP, at times. In other words, the HTTP access seems not to work reliably. So, it is safer to keep HTTPS enabled.

After several attempts i succeded at hard-resetting and upgrading to latest firmware. In the release notes a bugfix about repairing https access is mentioned.

    Thank you
