Does anyone have experience with Smart Link?
Mine seems to fail over and then get stuck on the secondary WAN.

Which version of the RV042? I had some bad experiences with V3.

I have both versions in use. I don't know that I've seen a difference with respect to the issue I'm asking about here.
    What sorts of "bad experience"?
I think a fundamental question for the RV0xx is:
Once failed over, will the device "switch back" to Primary WAN on its own? Yes or No? I can't say that I've observed this happening.

To speak the truth, I had no opportunity to test the issue of getting back to the primary WAN. I was always ussing these devices in load ballance mode. In theory, the fail over has no advantages over the load ballance. It is better to use both service lines, than to keep one of them idle. Also, v1 works very well in the load ballance mode, if set up correctly, so I see no point in testing the fail over mode.

In case of the v3 I had serious issues with the network service detection function. While set to report the service failure in log only, the device was bringing the WAN ports down without an apparent reason.
