RV042 Firewall Instability?

    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with the firewall on the RV042 ?

We have load balancing working fine, and have 2 WAN connections. One of the connections does all our incoming VOIP stuff on port 4569 (UDP port for IAX2)

After an amount of time, I was having to reset the router as the firewall was no longer allowing connections on that port.

I've switched the firewall off for the time being, but I wonder what issues this might cause?

    Cheers in advance guys

If you have not already figured out the issue yet...

Make sure you are running the newest firmware. They have made a few changes between public releases that may help.

Double and triple check any Access Rules you have, I ran into an incedent where someone had a set of rules that created a continuous loop, (logging a deny, enabling syslog, but denying syslog via access rules and logging that denial). Would freeze up the firewall service really quick!

    Good luck.
