RV042 not replying to pings and no arp

I've installed about 8 of these units and they work incredibly well.

Ive got one unit though that is doing something weird.

Its got the latest firmware. Block Wan requests is off.

The tunnel builds then It wont reply to pings anymore. The ISP says they dont see any arp traffic comming from the unit.

Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

If this is setup like all the rest i would say its probably hardware. Though i would try enabling block wan requests testing then disabling again. Maybe something got chocked up in the config or the gui interface. Maybe a reboot after saving as well. When ping is allowed can you still ping the interface just not over the vpn or does it all die?

I can ping for about 3 minutes from the outside and from the diagnostic page. Then it goes dead....however everyone can still browse the internet and the VPN tunnels stays intact. In fact even it it all goes down when it reboots it reconnects without an issue.

If the vpn is not connected can you ping ok? Have you verified this is not the same behavior of the others? Have you tried changing the ping wait time, maybe its just taking longer then expect so its timing out but not actually getting lost.

Result is the same when the VPN is disengaged.

Removing the router and placing the modem back to PPPOE instead of bridged mode makes it pingable again.

The ISP reports that they see no ARP traffic coming from the box but they did from the modem.

I'm starting to think I have a bad piece of equipment.

since you have eight of them can you swap the unit to see if the same problem occurs elsewhere with the same router, or another router has the same issue when on the same connection?

They are all in use im afraid.

I just ordered another one gonna swap it and see if I can salvage it with a reset and reconfig.

Post what I find next week sometime when I do it.
