    Hi.

Can anybody tell me how does the rv042 determine the outage of the primary WAN link?

I do not own the rv042 yet but from the manual I can see that You only can set which port is primary.
    No ping possibility etc.

Asked the Linksys tech chat or whatever, well...

Anyway, how does rv042 understand that it should fail over to the backup link when I just want to use the unit for connecting to 2 ISPs, no tunnels and one ISP as primary, the other for backup when the primary fails.

Maybe there's more functionality in the 1.3.6 release?

    Hi.

Maybe I didn't ask clearly enough for everybody to understand.
My english and sentence building wasn't very good.

I'm looking for a ISP backup solution and stumbled on RV042. Looking at the conf possibilities in manual I see only simple conf.

Question arises how does RV042 understand when to switch to backup ISP.

    Can anybody elaborate on this?
