Anyone know why I can sniff ESP packets headed into my RV042 after the VPN is established (These correspond to pings) but the RV042 doesn't send out anything, nor does anything seem to show up on the inside of the router. I'm using thegreenbow VPN software.

Linksys has released firmware 1.3.1 for the RV042 today. This code fixes the tunnel communication issue.

Where is it? It isn't listed on their firmware page for the rv042, in fact nothing is.

I never did find the firmware, but it works.

Apparently, you cannot connect a machine directly to the WAN port, even using a crossover cable, and then use software to connect. The thing is basically very unhappy, and refuses to route packets.

In any case it works great now.

Okay, I got the new firmware, but it still has the same problem.

In fact, I can actually be sitting behind the router, ask to open a VPN, it opens a VPN no problem, but traffic still doesn't flow back to me. It does this exact same thing when I connect a machine directly to the WAN1 port with a crossover.

But the instant I use the actual internet, poof, it works and it lets me send traffic.

Oh, and I can't seem to get the WAN2 port to work correctly either.
