Router 1, RV082, firmware 1.3.5 when I add QuickVPN clients to the router and press save at the bottom of the page, the router reboots and no QuickVPN client entry. Has anybody seen this issues before? :flabbergasted:

    Router 2, RV082, firmware 1.3.5 when I do the above I get a message

"Would you let the System change the device LAN IP to 10.37.243.1 automatically"

no matter if I answer the question with OK or Cancel the router reboots and I end up with no QuickVPN client username and password.

Try to change the default LAN IP of the router first, and then add QuickVPN users.

What type of WAN connection do you have. are both theses routers acting as gateways to the internet? what are the LAN IPs of both routers

Both routers are acting as gateways to public IP internet. The second router is setup with 2 PPPoE ADSL routers with static public IP in front off them.

First router internal lan IP 192.168.10.254
Second router internal lan IP 192.168.1.254

The first router has 3 X IPSEC VPN's out to other routers
    First IPSEC VPN 192.168.10.0/24
    Second IPSEC VPN 192.168.20.0/24
    Third IPSEC VPN 10.196.0.0/255.255.192.0

The second router has 5 x IPSEC VPN's out to other routers

    First IPSEC VPN 192.168.2.0/24
    Second IPSEC VPN 192.168.3.0/24
    Third IPSEC VPN 192.168.4.0/24
    Fourth IPSEC VPN 192.168.5.0/24
    Fith IPSEC VPN 192.168.6.0/24

    PPTP SERVER IS ENABLED

I cant do that, the customers network has an internal network is set to 192.168.10.0/24.

my assumption would be the QVPN setup may need to have the router LAN IP as x.x.x.1 IP address but this is only a guess. I have asked someone at linksys to look at this type of scenario.

    Hello, moored99.
I have tried the problem you met. But I didn't see the issue.
Could you please set your router to the default settings
and repeat the step which made router reboot to see if this issue happen again.
Or you can export your settings and send it to my e-mail, I'll check it for you.
    Here is my e-mail address:nktest2@homail.com
    Thanks.:)

Thankyou for your kind offer, however I cant send you the config as it is on a production router and has passwords.

I have found that Firefox 2.0.0.4 causes the Linksys RV082 to reboot when adding QuickVPN clients. I have also found that Firefox wont allow you to logout of the RV082 so it would appear that Firefox is not compatible with configuring this device.

I have had no trouble using firefox 2.0.0.4 configuring the RV082, have had trouble with quick vpn, but none with firefox, so I don't think its firefox itself, maybe there is a setting that might affect it?

RV082, adding QuickVPN users with % in Password = reboot

I finally figured it out. When adding QuickVPN users to RV082, I used the % symbol as part off my password, if I do that it reboots the router.
