    Hello there :)

I was wondering whether there is some sort of Qos/Bandwidth limiting possible with the rv082 router - like saying user/ip or even better service abc is allowed to consume only xyz kbs/sec?

No. The best the RV082 can do is allow you to assign a Priority (either Normal or High) to each LAN port. There is no capability to Traffic Shape or provice QoS by IP, MAC, Application, Session or anything else.

It does not have QoS but it can do CoS on WAN2 if you take the router out of intelligent Load Balacing and bring it into IP group. It will then give proiorty based on your setup on the WAN 2 only. WAN 1 must stay in intelligent auto balancer mode so now CoS is available over one line.

You can select the souce IP addresses and ports to destination address and this will only go over.

Maybe you could set it to use 3 WAN ports and have the WAN 1 in a disabled state. Then you may be able to put the CoS on both WAN lines on WAN 2 and WAN 3 (oops, I just realized you could only do that on the RV016 as it allows up to seven WAN lines, sorry).

Well either way you know more then you had so good luck.
