RV082 quirks and questions

We've got an RV082 I just set up today, with a Comcast connection as well as an SBC DSL connection. I have a few questions about things I noticed. 2 calls to tech support and I still don't have any answers, because I guess my questions are too hard for them (I spent 10 mins trying to explain what a proxy server is).

    1) I understand that the device "balances" the 2 external links (more like round robin). One oddity of this is that incoming pings into a 1-1 NAT host show a 50% packet loss. Is that because the return path keeps changing?

    2) Several people reported AIM kept dropping. I googled and followed a suggestion to force tcp 5109 traffic to one of the WAN links, and it seemed to work. Did the same for jabber.

    3) Is there any way to drop a squid proxy into the network? I want all outbound LAN traffic on port 80 to hit the proxy box, and only the proxy box would be allowed to connect out. I don't think the box can do this though.

In hindsight, I should have just built a linux box, but in the corporate world rolling your own is not seen favorably as you know...
