RV082 snmp traffic monitor

    i have succesfully setup snmp with my rv082. i can read wan1 wan2 and lan ports and all the other statistics.

    the only thing i don't get working is reading the in/out octets from the 8 switchports. at the management site you can see the traffic from each switchport. is this possible with snmp?

    Which firmware level is installed in your RV082? Early versions do not correctly provide snmp info. The latest version is supposed to fix it... but I had not yet had time to try it. If you do have the lastest frimware from Linksys installed... and it is still incorrectly reporting the in/out data... open a ticket on the linksys site.

    does anybody now what the SNMP code is to read port 1-8 the version of the firmware is: 1.3.5

    using IF-MIB::ifoutoctets.1 to 4 gives some counters back i want to now how to read port 1-8?

    I would like to know the same thing.. latest firmware install and also only wan1 wan2 and combing.

    If you have the lastest firmware installed and the counters are still geting combined... then the firmware still has bugs. You need to visit the linksys.com web site and open a ticket with tech support. The more people that do this -- the higher priority it will be to have it fixed. I also opened a ticket last fall and am still waiting. That last several firmware releases said it was fixed but it wasn't. So somehow the problem is being miscommunicated to the firmware support teams.

    If you wish to look at the oid's that are supported with the firmware you can use a MIB browsing tool such as "MIB Browser (ireasoning)" There are several others out that and multiple shareware MIB tools.

    But in the end - if it isn't working -- document it and open a ticket with linksys....
