RV082 Subnet Issue

I have recently installed an RV082 router on a mid-sized office network. This network runs on a 172.17.x.x IP range, with subnet mask of 255.255.192.0. The servers are on the 172.17.2.x range, and the workstations are in the 172.17.20.x range.

I configured the router to have a device IP of 172.17.2.254 and used the subnet mask option of 255.255.255.0.

I then added another subnet under the multiple subnet options for the following IP address and subnet mask: 172.17.0.2 / 255.255.192.0.

This setup allows both the servers and workstations to access the internet. Inbound port forwarding works to both ranges.

However, the problem is that if a workstation tries to access the public IP address assigned by the office cable modem, the connection fails. If a server tries to access this same IP address, the connection works.

Does anyone have any suggestions on settings to check or how I might be able to modify the configuration to get the workstations able to access the public IP address? Thanks.
