rvl200. wan port to vlan possible?

    hello,

    i want to assign the wan port to an vlan(i need this for my internet vdsl connection in germany)

    in the html interface there is no possibility to chose the wan port for vlan.


    Any ideas?

    Thats not possible to do on the RVL200. Only ports 1 through 4 can be assigned different memberships.

    Can you tell me wich linksys router ist capable to do vlan on wan port?

    Non as far as I know unless the router runs some third party firmware like dd-wrt or openwrt. The I think it may be possible to place the WAN port in a VLAN. I'm guessing you need this for VLAN tagging or something on your external side?

    yes i need vlan tagged.

    i live in germany and have a vdsl connection.

    MY ISP(t-online) needs a pppoe login with VLAN tagged on and the vlan id must be 7.
    The router that i use now is not a good one its the standard t online speedport w700 router(sucks really).
    And my idea was to take the linksys and make the conection through the vdsl modem over the wan port.

    i have also wrt54gs try it to but no succes :(
