RVO42 and WinXP Home/Win2K Pro Clients

    Hi All,

My question is likely so basic it has not been addressed or, more likely, my knowledge is so limited, I don't quite know how to search for the answer.

I am considering purchasing a Linksys RVO42 for a small office of 5 workstations with three remote home workers.

The home workers have Windows XP Home or Windows 2000 Pro.

I would like to be able to use the built in vpn software in Windows XP. I don't have enough experience with client VPN access with Windows 2000 Pro to know if it has that same capability.

    My questions are:

#1) Can I use the standard winxp (and win2k?) vpn support to create vpn connections with these home users with the RVO42 or do I need to purchase additional software for the clients. The tutorials on this site suggest that using secpol.msc allows for the configuration under Windows XP Professional, but that does not seem to be a available in Windows XP Home or Windows 2000 Pro.

#2) I read the RVO42 manual and it seems that 30 vpn clients are supported without any additional licensing. Is this an accurate read of the documentation?

#3) Can I have both a RVO42 to RVO42 vpn to vpn tunnel set up and the vpn client tunnels running at the same time or does it only run one type of tunnel at a time?

Thanks in advance and I apologize for the simplicity of the questions. Hopefully as my experience grows, so will the degree of sophistication of my questions. :)
