rvs4000 died after firmware upgrade

Due to the known problems (Lockup + jittery ping) I was forced to upgrade the firmware (1.0.11 to 1.0.15) on the rvs4000 . Unfortunately since then all I'm getting is the blinking red diag light and no activity on the router.

The documentation says that I should be able to recover the unit using TFTP, but either that information is not correct or this unit is beyond repair. Can anybody help ?

    Thank you

Sounds like to me your trying to flash your unit with the wrong firmware, 1.0.15 is the current beta firmware for the WRVS4400N not the RVS4000 the latest beta firmware for RVS4000 is 1.1.11 and can be found here along with the rescue utility http://www.linksysinfo.org/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=33 I would try using the rescue utility with the correct firmware for your model.
