Are there people experiencing problems getting their RVS4000 to connect with FTP client to FTP servers on the internet? While the login connection errorfree has been established, the uploads (@ about 50% complete) goes slower till it stops en occures a timout error.
I tried several FTP clients & and servers but all with the same error.
I switched Firewall & IPS off, but still no results. I tried several MTU values, but nothing.

FTP to my desktopbox (local device) works fine, only FTP on the internet has errors.

I get many ‘TCP checksum incorrect’ errors. (viewed with WireShark)

I upgraded my firmware to 1.1.09. With the older firmware i get the same problems.
Without the RVS4000 (pc to cablemodem) it’s no problem at all, so the RVS4000 has some FTP- bugs i think? :frown:

I downloaded and uploaded a 60MB file with ftp and it worked fine. I have RVS4000 1.1.09.

After you upgraded the firmware did you reset to factory defaults?

Since I have upgraded to 1.1.09 all my issues went away. I had slowness with IPS and downloads, Counter Strike would not run correctly. I was able to download the 1.1.09 beta code from this site before I took the router back to the store. With the code 1.1.09 this new router runs faster than the old WRT54GL with linksys code. I have not tested VPN. I don't really have a need for it at my house. I mainly run a mail server for my house. I need a dependable 24 hour a day router to keep my mail flowing. Everything runs off a Smart-UPS 1400. I will not run a router which locks up for any reason. I am happy with this one right now. My WRT54GL has become my already configured stand by in case of router failure.
