Finally got Tomato working. However, what make Tomato Tomato is the ability to change the huge number of settings. However, the "save" button does not work. When I press save, it greys out, inabling me to click it. When I refresh the page, the settings remains unchanged. Now my wifi network is not protected because of this issue. I have tried this in 3 browers, IE, FF and Opera and all 3 have the same problems. It either greys out or stay the same colour allowing me to click it but with no effect.

Hmm. After holding the restart button for 30Secs and releaseing it, the problem still exists. I am using Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 by the way. Thanks alot!

Try connecting by telnet or ssh and issue the command

    nvram commit

and post any error messages back here!

    unknown login: root
    Password:

    Tomato v1.10.1188

    BusyBox v1.2.2 (2007.10.07-17:18+0000) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

    # nvram commit
    #Commit... done.

That what i get. Hope I have done it correctly.

for windows, go to start -> run -> cmd

type telnet <router ip address here>

login as root, with the password you've set
and simply type nvram commit , enter, and you're set (=

sounds like a incompatibility with the ajax interface tomato uses.. an alternative browser might help (=

use Firefox and disable all ad blocking/no script utilities you have installed
if it still doesn't work you can try a Linux LiveCD which will probably work.
