I was hoping I could save bandwidth log files and other stuff to my USB drive. This is on my E4200v1

I plugged it in and it mounted as : /tmp/mnt/sda

If I reboot, will it always mount as that? When I save config files, just point it to /tmp/mnt/sda/directory ?

yes. I recommend that you label your usb drive also.

great, so it will always mount as that, and then how do I label it exactly? IT was formatted in NTFS on my windows 7 computer.

unmount and mount it back to win7. Change label property on Computer for that particular dirve.

I store everything on a USB drive on my E3000 and it works fine...always mounts as sda1.

What does adding a label do for it?

It will mount the drive in a folder with the label name instead of sda1.
