    Good day to all,

I'm very new to all this firmware and stuff so pardon me if I'm going to ask stupid questions.

What I'm interested in is where did all the commands for the scripts come from and is there a list of them where I can refer to ?

    Thank you.

Startup scripts are just linux commands and firewall scripts are from iptables.

The WRT54G(S) routers are little 200 Mhz MIPS CPU based
systems that run an almost stock variation of Linux, which is a variation of the unix operating system. The WRT54G(S) has many, if not most, of the standard unix commands. However, because it is basically an "embedded" system dedicated to doing just one thing (which is not general computing) a lot of the configuration is best described as "odd".

There are also programs from Linksys and/or Broadcom specifically related to the Broadcom wireless chipset.

Any good books on Linux or unix would help to understand the scripts, though as noted there are a lot of "odd" things.
