Here's what I'm trying to do: I want to be able to wake my PC up from stand-by remotely. In order to do this, I have to know the current WAN IP address which occasionally changes, since it's dynamic. The No-IP Dynamic Update Client is useless when the PC is in stand-by mode, so I need something else to wake my PC first before No-IP app can start working. So, is it possible to create a script in Tomato that will send a Magic Packet to my PC's LAN card whenever it detects that the router's WAN IP address has changed? Alternatively, I could just have a script which would reboot the router every X hours and then run the WOL script at initialization, but I'd prefer the first solution. Another option would be a script that would send me an e-mail with the new WAN IP address. I know that some Linksys firmwares supported sending firewall logs via email, so maybe the same mechanism could be used. I don't know if Tomato firmware supports it. So, can someone help me come up with such scripts? I don't even know where to start. Anyway, just looking for ideas. It doesn't have to be scripts. Maybe there is another way to accomplish what I need. Thanks.
