    Hi everyone:

I've been so happy with my Asus RT-N12 (original) router, that I want to get a similar router for a friend to use in client or client bridge mode.

I'm interested in the RT-N12/B1 most of all. However, the reviews on Newegg and other places make me hesitant, as apparently many people have problems with the WAN connection or wireless connections dropping out, with no apparent solution.

Before I buy anything, does anyone know if this is a hw or sw issue. Is it fixable, and what would be involved. I'm hoping just a Tomato install would fix the problem, but not clear from what I've read.

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hmmm..okay. No replies. I picked up an RT-N12B on sale. Do I still need to use the RT-N series
of Shibby or Toastman, or are there other versions of Tomato I can use on this.

What are the limitations, if any of the RT-N versions? Serious bugs? I want to use this in client
or client bridge mode, and I need it to pick up a signal from a couple hundred feet away.
It's in the country, though, with few buildings or trees, and line of sight, except for one wall.
