Under QoS settings, is it possible to set a range of ports for an application priority?
To my knowledge, only the two ranges that are already there (1-1023 "Low Ports" and 1024-65535 "High Ports").
you can actually(i think) do port range. in the "Specific Port" box, enter the following aaaa:bbbb where aaaa is start port and bbbb is end port. i think that will work for you.
Cool, I never knew that. Holy undocumented feature Batman!
QoS Port Range
Thanks, Thibor - will try your suggestion. I would not have thought of separating the first and last port in the range by a colon.
Now - how to test if it works?
For those who might be interested, I am doing this for VoicePulse VOIP - see their QoS knowledge base at http://voicepulse.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/voicepulse.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=119
Why not just set the MAC address or Ethernet port of your VoicePulse device to HIGHEST and call it a day?
That's exactly what I have set up on my WRT54G V4 / Tofu 13c setup for my Vonage WRTP54G, and it works great.
