    The proper format is:

    NAT_IP MAC_Address Hostname

    Example: 192.168.1.254 00:03:3b:3c:8c:40 Mike

And make sure to define a local domain.

I set up a static DHCp Address for my Xbox and looked at the info on start page and it says that the XBOX has no Durration. The PC has a Durration and the XBOX doesnot/

    192.168.1.5 00:50:F2:EF:1C:6B xbox

I put that in but I cant seem to get any information to see if it is working

r u sure you got the mac address right on the xbox.

i just looked @ my dhcp list on the start-up page.

and all of the pcs have "never" listed under Duration. is that what you mean by no duration. ????

Yes that is what I mean but the Pc's have a durration but the Xbox Durration says never. I am stumped by the Xbox Mac address because I cant tell if tha last number is a 8 or a B. It looks like a B but Look at it from a Different angle it looks like an 8. But everyone says it is a B

than that is normal. what ever you have in Static DHCP will have a lease that does not end. but what ever is not in Static DHCP will have a lease.

    Hi EnigmaX4!

    Little hint:

Next time, when you have problems in reading MAC addresses, just assign your XBOX an IP and ping it. Then make an arp -a on windows command line and there you can look up which MAC address belongs to your xbox IP.

Then add a static DNS entry with XBOX MAC to DD-WRT and switch XBOX to dynamic dhcp.
